MILLIONS KNIVES
— TRIGUN STAMPEDE —
"God cleansed what man had sullied, just as I will now. This world will be a blank slate."
Other Physical Traits.
Doesn't wear human clothes, instead wearing a Plant skinsuit and cloak with bud-like hood to represent his brethren.
Has Plant markings in his eyes that are visible when caught by external light, and he doesn't bother to hide his eyes behind sunglasses like Vash does, so this effect can occasionally be visible. The markings on his skin and in his eyes are identical to Vash's, and glow in specific instances of him using his power.

CONTENT WARNINGS/OPT OUT.
Due to the nature of Knives' character, he contains content warnings for: extreme violence, genocidal intent towards humans, and abusive/controlling/coercive behaviour, especially where Vash is concerned.
Shipping or smut are likely to contain above elements and potential dubcon/noncon on an opt in basis. Late canon episodes use imagery akin to sexual assault and forced pregnancy, though this is unlikely to come up in threads.
If you'd like to opt out of playing with Knives, or have any questions or concerns about a thread, comment below. Comments will be screened.
Background.
An interdimensional being known as a 'Plant', whose species was originally created to generate energy and other resources to ensure the survival of humanity. Once named Nai, an Independent with a humanlike appearance capable of existing outside of containment, he was raised by a human woman called Rem alongside his twin brother Vash. Born on a spaceship as part of Project SEEDS, the Plants represented humanity's last hope to survive and help colonise a new planet where the human race could flourish.
This changed when the brothers learned the fate of another Independent Plant who had been born before them, and found her remains after she had been experimented on and dissected. This shattered Nai's trust in humanity, and he began to deepen his studies, deciding their history was marked by cruelty, war and suffering to the point it made them irredeemable. To avoid the 'parasites' spreading to other planets and destroying their natural resources -- and most importantly, to protect himself and his brother -- Nai crashed the entire fleet onto a desert planet, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of humans, including Rem.
Since then, he has become 'Millions Knives', the avenging weapon of all Plants across the planet. While humanity struggles to eke out a meagre existence with dwindling resources, Knives steals Plants and slaughters any humans who stand in his way, justifying his atrocities as rescuing his brethren from death by overwork and exploitation. He acts in aid of his final plan: to create a world for only Plants, where he and Vash can live in peace.
Personality.
Cruel, violent and manipulative, Knives is driven by fear of humanity, responding with aggression and a genocidal desire to wipe them out as an enemy species. He is arrogant, looking down on them as nothing more than 'parasites' who exploit, oppress, colonise and destroy, while he styles himself as either an Old Testament god or avenging angel delivering divine retribution on the sinful. His belief in his crusade against humanity to protect the Plants is genuine, and despite his sociopathic tendencies towards humans, he shows empathy and grief for the suffering Plants endure. He goes as far as displaying corpses of Plants in his base of operations in July, which he says is a 'warning' to himself, so he can never forget what humans might also one day do to him if given the opportunity.
Because both his arrogance and his fear of enslavement are so severe, he is, ironically, incapable of fostering connections with people unless they are pawns to be used for his wider objectives. The only person he truly sees as his equal is Vash, and even then, their relationship is one defined by Knives' attempts to control him, often through physical, mental, and emotional abuse. As the (supposedly) weaker brother, Vash has become 'sick', lead astray by deceitful humans he depends on for love and affection despite how they mistreat him, and the only way to correct this error in thinking is for Knives to possess Vash for himself and destroy anything that threatens to take him away. Like his feelings towards their Plant brethren, Knives' love for Vash and desire to protect him are genuine, but have been warped by over a century of fear. Vash's thoughts, feelings and even his bodily autonomy are an afterthought, if they are considered at all.
Knives claims to fight for the future of his species; in reality, he is chained to the past, feeling deep loneliness and wanting to regress to a time when he and his brother were safe and happy. He can never return to that time owing to his own actions, and yet he never takes responsibility for his role in his own suffering, blaming humans or justifying everything he does as being for Vash's sake. When his beliefs are challenged, or he feels he is facing rejection, he flies off the handle into a violent rage. Even when faced with total defeat, he would sooner be destroyed than admit one possibility: he was a frightened child who made a mistake.
ROUTE 666 MONSTER DETAILS.
Note: When not fighting, Knives tends to hide any monster traits under his hooded cloak. In combat, the cloak 'unravels' to form the tentacle-like bladed appendages he uses to fight. His monster sigil is on his right shoulder blade; when it glows, it becomes visible through his skinsuit.
CELESTIAL - ANGEL
Basic traits (2/6)
1. Two white feathered wings
2. A blue eye on the back of each hand. They seem to move and blink independently of his own vision, but have markings identical to his own eyes when caught in bright direct light, and also remain visible when he uses his claws.
3. Guardian compulsion - He's compelled to watch over and protect the Convoy as a whole, though this doesn't prevent him from attacking individual members of the Convoy should he choose.
